The Mercedes of kettles

I bought this kettle to replace my Fellow Stagg Pro EKG.

The poor quality of the Fellow—such as the paint peeling off, the lid knob being mounted crooked, the display glitching, and the temperature swinging wildly, just to mention a few issues—made me look into products from other manufacturers.

Timemore has a good reputation for making high-quality products at very competitive prices, and after looking into it more closely, I decided on this Pro X model.

+The Pro X's overall build quality, especially compared to the Stagg.
+Price
+Sufficient heating power and temperature accuracy to 0.5°C.
+The capacity is fine; the minimum level is around 500 ml and the maximum is 900 ml.
+No external buttons or control wheels (except the main power switch at the back of the base); the look is stylishly minimalist.
+It is easy to control the pouring speed, the flow is really good, and there are no so-called accidental drips at the end of pouring like there are with the Stagg, for example.
+The touch switches and slider are responsive, and quick temperature adjustment by sliding as well as fine adjustment with the + and - touch buttons work very well.
+A quick shortcut to 100°C by pressing the Hold button for longer is a handy feature.
+The kettle lid is really good and feels high quality compared to the Fellow. It clicks into place on its own, and getting it into position requires no force or effort at all. The lid also stays well in place during heating and pouring; the kettle can be tilted to the extreme without fear of the lid leaking, unlike the Fellow.
+There does not seem to be any visible flow restrictor in the kettle, unlike the Fellow.
+Detachable power cord
+Heats up to 100°C; the range is 40–100°C

-The buzzer is a relatively loud beep, and it cannot be turned off at all.
-The volume markings on the kettle could be a bit larger, and I think they were placed in a better spot on the Stagg, although this is very much a matter of taste.
-The handle design divides opinions, and the handle's "handedness" may be awkward for some people. Fortunately, at least according to Timemore's website, a left-handed version should also be available. Personally, I prefer the Stagg's handle.
-There are too many stickers, although luckily they all come off fairly easily. Also, the excessive branding on one side of the kettle may not appeal to everyone.

If you are looking to buy a gooseneck kettle, the Pro X is a no-brainer.
